What is Convergence? 

Convergence is short for Technological Convergence where many different and disparate technologies and network equipment are effectively retrofitted and orderly transitioned into one integrated platform to house many interoperable hardware and software solutions.  The high cost of managing and operating many disparate networks of Voice (Telecom), Data (IP) and Video therefore are avoided and reduced into a smaller of cost of managing of a single integrated network.
